A key milestone as developer announces January completion

The Wool House has now reached a key milestone.

The building is almost complete and ready for its full launch, with finishing touches underway ahead of its public introduction in January. This final phase has been focused on presentation and detailing, ensuring that every apartment and shared space reflects the quality and care invested in the scheme.

Bob Skelly, development director, said:

“As with many heritage-led developments, time has brought change. We have been working hard over these last few months and with the utmost attention to detail to ensure that The Wool House is delivered exactly as intended – as a thoughtful, low-density conversion designed for long-term living and as an asset to the local property market.

“I would sincerely like to thank those who have reserved an apartment and others on our mailing list for their patience throughout this period and I am delighted to announce that we are very nearly there.

“Local people will have seen the progress we have made in recent months, including the completion of the gardens, the construction of the boundary walls, the surfacing of the car park, the completion of the external staircase from Haugh Lane to Gilesgate and the cleaning of the stonework.

“We are totally confident in the finished product and very much look forward to welcoming people to view The Wool House in January.”

The development offers an attractive choice for buyers looking to downsize, as well as for those who travel frequently or live part of the year abroad

Designed to be easy to run and maintain, the apartments provide a high degree of security, making them ideal ‘lock-up-and-go’ homes. Additionally, they have been insulated with two premium insulation products: Rockwool RWA45 and Knauf Earthwool Dritherm 37 to guarantee a toasty-warm, well-insulated energy-efficient home.

Contemporary kitchens, available in a range of styles and finishes, are complemented by high-quality integrated appliances as standard. Premium bathrooms feature heated towel rails and Porcelanosa tiling throughout.

Comprising 45 one- and two-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses arranged over six floors, The Wool House also benefits from on-site parking and EV charging points, appealing to a broad range of buyers seeking a distinctive new home in a central location with all essential amenities on the doorstep.
