First residents move in ahead of Christmas

Installing the insulation

Life is now well underway inside The Wool House, with three households having moved into their new homes in time for Christmas.

The first to move in were also the very first couple to reserve an apartment. They have moved into a duplex apartment overlooking Gilesgate and are delighted to finally be settling into their new home, having rented nearby while the building was completed.

They are joined by a local couple who have recently retired and were keen to downsize into a home offering character, comfort and an easy connection to the town.

The third new resident is originally from the area and after many years living near London, has chosen to return north and make The Wool House her home.

All three have spoken positively about the experience of moving in, enjoying the calm, solid feel of the apartments and the reassurance that comes from living in a new well-insulated apartment.

Being able to settle in before Christmas has been especially welcome, marking the transition from completed project to a long-term home.

Their arrival represents an important milestone for The Wool House and provides quiet confirmation that the apartments are ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

As the building moves steadily from completion into everyday life, interest continues from those seeking a distinctive home rooted in craftsmanship, character and a sense of permanence.
